PROJECT BRIEF:
MOD+Partners was selected to design Amwaj Jizan, a dynamic waterfront mixed-use development located in the coastal city of Jizan, Saudi Arabia. The project aims to create a vibrant, lifestyle-driven destination that celebrates the natural beauty of the Red Sea while introducing a new urban experience to the region.
The development includes a curated mix of residential units, retail spaces, hospitality elements, and public waterfront zones. The masterplan was designed to ensure seamless connectivity between land and sea, with open promenades, plazas, and leisure nodes that encourage social interaction and outdoor activity.
Architecturally, Amwaj Jizan embraces a sleek, contemporary language inspired by the fluidity of waves and coastal textures. The design integrates shaded pathways, water features, and native landscaping to enhance walkability and comfort in the local climate. Sustainability and cultural identity were central to the design approach, ensuring a resilient and contextually appropriate development.
